Tour to Gran Paradiso National Park

The National Park of Gran Paradiso is a goal, every year, thousands of people, who love the mountains and nature in general, that this reality is really fascinating and spectacular. It is, in fact, a alpine environment where once towered cold and huge glaciers that, over the centuries have given way to the valleys that can be seen now.

The park was founded in the early '20s, and together with the National Park of Abruzzo, is one of the oldest Italian parks; From the geographical point of view is located on a vast territory (more than 70,000 hectares), which includes the Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta, and its management is entrusted Ente Nazionale Gran Paradiso (Torino). This is a massive, which is 4,000 meters, it has come six valleys: Cogne, Valsavarenche Rhèmes, Orc, and Champorcher Soana.
The highest peak 4061 meters, is located on the dividing Valsavarenche Cogne.

The symbol of the park is the ibex, Animal and very easy to spread over the Alps, and onStambecco simbolo del Parco del Gran Paradiso all the rocky terrain, unfortunately, subject to abatement poorly controlled, because of hunting that allowed not only consume its tasty meat, meat extract also talismans and amulets, horns and "Cross of the heart." Fortunately in 1821 the then King of Sardinia, Charles Felix issued a Royal Decree which forbade hunting, since then, allowing the protection of the ibex. In truth he was the only one to give "democratically" hunting! Then spread the Vittorio Emanuele II had the same choice, I would say but very little hunting environmentalist, to the point that he decided to give a new face in this valley, to allow the comforts of a luxury hunting, constructing mule tracks (of which even today if has vision), and numerous hunting lodges, which are useful to him and all his troops.
If you want to walk part of the "real" way of hunting, just go to Colle del Valle Orco and Nivolet to observe closely the real trail, the home of the Grand Hunting Plan (now the refuge).

It was then that Victor Emmanuel III signed a decree that gave birth to the Gran Paradiso National Park in the 30's management came under the beam, which send them criminals, thieves and the rebels to the government to atone for their sins and punishments. In 1947 the Head of State Henry De Nicola, founded the Gran Paradiso National Park Authority.

The beauty of the park is enormous because nature is untouched and it is easy to fall in love, what happens to all and particularly to families who decide to "cleanse" the lungs in the blue and cloudless sky mountainous. Among the most beautiful and popular trees in the park are undoubtedly the larch, Above the valley floor, but you can also watch the spruces, or the rare silver firThe principles of the forest, then leave the space as they climb to an altitude of pastures, which in spring are covered with bright and fragrant flowers. But for lovers of the glaciers, rising to over 4,000 meters, you can admire them in all their spectacular meditative silence.

Inside the park a lot of alternate types of environments, from fragrant and green forests, the wetlands in the rocky, grasslands, and again rivers, streams, fresh streams and lakes. The most beautiful lakes to be observed are close to the neck area and are the Nivolet Lakes Nivolet (Artificial), close to the refuge Savoy, here comes the Savara which come together in Baltea. Other lakes (all natural) are the Lake Leite, Lake Rosset with a central island: both are the source of the river Orco, which results in Chivasso. Again we find in the Valley of Cogne Lauson lakes and Loie.

The city of Turin is highly dependent on Paco, as regards the supply of hydroelectric power, and specifically the countries of Locana Ceresole Reale and the Canavese.

In aquatic environments, animals and plants we find beautiful and interesting, such as certain species of algae such as duckweed, or the edges of rivers and wetlands, however, in the buttercup water lilies and poetic.

As for the flora in the park, you can enjoy cherry, hazel, aspen, chestnut, ash, birch, pine and so on. While, to finish, you can give away the wildlife viewing ibex, chamois, Wolves, lynx and marmots. And among birds hawks, crows, woodpeckers, tits, owls and tawny owls, eye, and not to sit on the nest for up to two feet high, the formica rufa.
